Kakegurui ×× TV Series

Hyakkaou Private Academy has a history of more than a hundred years and is attended by many children from influential political and business families. Here, academic and athletic results have no value. Only strength at gambling matters. Those who cannot pay tribute to the student council that controls the school are stripped of their human dignity and treated as livestock.

Kakegurui became a major hit by depicting the fierce gambling battles of the mysterious transfer student Yumeko Jabami, a girl who is mad for gambling, and her rivals. This story takes place one year before Yumeko's transfer.

Its heroine is Mary Saotome, who will later become both Yumeko's formidable rival and close friend. Longing for the life of a privileged young lady, Mary enters the academy knowing nothing of its customs and having no gambling experience. How does she become a highly skilled high-school gambler? Everything is revealed here!

The leading role is played by acclaimed actress Aoi Morikawa, who has portrayed Mary throughout the series. Her powerful opponents are played by a fresh young cast including Hayato Sano and Erika Ikuta of Nogizaka 46. Popular regular cast members including Minami Hamabe as Yumeko and Mahiro Takasugi as Suzui also appear, taking the Kakegurui universe to a new stage with Twin.

Disc 1 contains all eight episodes, running 217 minutes. Disc 2 contains making-of footage, the completion-report event, special YouTube videos, an opening-sequence collection, a special edition of the opening-sequence collection and a trailer.

The cast features Aoi Morikawa, Hayato Sano, Erika Ikuta of Nogizaka 46, Shiori Akita, Riko Fukumoto, Atsuhiro Inukai, Mirei Sasaki of Hinatazaka 46, Elaiza Ikeda, Miki Yanagi, Akira Onodera, Ruka Matsuda, Natsumi Okamoto, Yurika Nakamura, Natsume Mito, Minori Hagiwara, Mijika Nagai, Mahiro Takasugi and Minami Hamabe.
