And so, in Volume 8, 'I drew a lot of bunk beds,' says the author. The children love their bunk beds, Mother loves the living-room sofa, and Father loves his futon. From Father's perspective, everyday life means being pushed and pulled about by the others. Father hardly ever goes out, so almost the only people he encounters are his family. This is my twenty-first year of drawing away in a corner of the manga world. This is the fifth series in Shigeyuki Fukumitsu's autobiographical manga sequence!
