Kishida Kyoudan & THE Akeboshi Rockets releases its fourth original album since making its major-label debut. REBOOT includes Sirius, the opening theme for Sirius the Jaeger, and Stray, the opening theme for Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens. Its lead track Blood and Emotions is the opening theme for Strike the Blood III, following the band’s earlier themes for Strike the Blood and Strike the Blood II. Their energetic music is made for the series’ fierce battles.

The band formed in 2007 when Kishida, who had been active in a Touhou arrangement circle, casually invited the other members to play together. They made their major debut in 2010 with the Highschool of the Dead theme and released hack/SLASH in December 2014. GATE: Sore wa Akatsuki no Yoni followed in July 2015, then GATE II: Sekai o Koete, Tenkyou no Alderamin and Blood on the EDGE in 2016.

Alongside those releases, their live activity expanded. A seven-show nationwide tour in 2016 ended successfully at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. Their third full album LIVE YOUR LIFE arrived in March 2017, followed by a Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka summer tour with a sold-out finale at TSUTAYA O-EAST. Another nationwide tour began in Fukuoka in November and finished at Differ Ariake in January 2018. Stray and Sirius then marked the start of the band’s eleventh year.
