KONOSUBA Anime

A new development awaits ordinary adventurer Kazuma's life in another world! The landmark isekai comedy KONOSUBA returns for its third television season, which began in April 2024.

The definitive isekai comedy is back. Following its television seasons in 2016 and 2017, the 2019 theatrical film KONOSUBA: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson was a major hit, exceeding 730 million yen in box-office receipts. At the time of this release, the official smartphone game KONOSUBA: Fantastic Days celebrated its fourth anniversary, and figurines and other merchandise continued to expand. The Megumin-led spin-off KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! also became a television anime in April 2023. Fans around the world have eagerly awaited the third season. After returning from the Crimson Demon Village, Kazuma receives a letter: Princess Iris wants to hear the adventures of the party that defeated Demon King's generals. Will the letter bring a new turn to his otherworldly life?

The separate limited edition of Blu-ray volume 1 introduced an original pocket Game of Life themed around KONOSUBA. Its portable size lets anyone play anywhere, anytime. Become Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin or Darkness and explore another world: defeat monsters for rewards, or drink sparkling drinks and squander your earnings. An adventurer's life has ups and downs; aim to become an otherworldly billionaire! The physical game is not included with this volume 2 edition. The original first-press bonuses for the Blu-ray and DVD releases include a three-sided box newly illustrated by original illustrator Kurone Mishima, an anime jacket newly illustrated by character designer Koichi Kikuta, a special booklet and reproduced recording scripts. These releases are packed with the appeal of KONOSUBA. First-press physical bonuses are conditional and not guaranteed; CDJapan reports that they are no longer available.

Story Game-loving recluse Kazuma Sato should have met an abrupt end in a traffic accident, but unexpectedly reincarnates in another world with goddess Aqua along for the ride. His excitement at enjoying an RPG-like adventurer's life and becoming a hero lasts only a moment before trouble follows.

His party consists of the troublesome goddess Aqua, the excessively dramatic magician Megumin and the knight Darkness, whose fantasies never stop. Their abilities are high, but all three have serious shortcomings. Kazuma faces overwhelming debts, a trial for suspected subversion, battles with Demon King's generals and occasional death. After returning from the Crimson Demon Village, the party receives a letter: Princess Iris wants to hear their adventures. Iris arrives in Axel with Claire and Rain, her guards and tutors. After an apparently peaceful meeting, she grows attached to Kazuma and reminds him that he promised more stories. When he opens his eyes, he is in the royal capital. Enjoying celebrity life in the castle while staying at Iris's request, he decides to remain. Meanwhile, a mysterious righteous thief is operating in the capital.
