A new turn in ordinary adventurer Kazuma’s extraordinary otherworldly life! The landmark fantasy comedy returns for its third television season, which began airing in April 2024.

The first two television seasons arrived in 2016 and 2017, followed by the 2019 film Legend of Crimson, which earned more than 730 million yen at the box office. When season three was announced, the official Fantastic Days smartphone game had reached its fourth anniversary, figures and merchandise continued to expand, and Megumin’s spin-off An Explosion on This Wonderful World! had become a television anime in April 2023. The much-loved series returns with a letter that will send Kazuma’s life in a new direction.

The creative team behind the previous television series and film reunites, with animation by Drive, the studio behind Vlad Love and To Your Eternity Season 2. Returning performers bring back the familiar comic interplay, joined by new voices for Princess Iris and her attendants Claire and Rain. The combination of familiar and newly arriving characters promises fresh chemistry—and new people to give Kazuma a hard time.

A traffic accident—or something like one—should have brought game-loving shut-in Kazuma Sato’s life to an abrupt end. Instead, he is reincarnated in another world with the goddess Aqua in tow. His excitement at living out an RPG-style adventuring dream and becoming a hero soon gives way to trouble. His companions are highly capable yet hopelessly troublesome: the useless, chaos-causing Aqua, the extravagantly dramatic mage Megumin and the endlessly imaginative knight Darkness. Debt, a trial on suspicion of subverting the state, battles against Demon King army commanders and even the occasional death become part of everyday life.

After returning from the Crimson Demon Village, the party receives a letter: Princess Iris wants to hear about their victories over the Demon King’s commanders. Accompanied by her guard and tutor Claire and Rain, Iris visits Axel. The meeting seems to have ended peacefully, but the princess has grown attached to Kazuma: “Didn’t you say you’d tell me more adventure stories?” When he next opens his eyes, he is in the royal capital.

At Iris’s request, Kazuma stays at the castle, develops a taste for its luxurious lifestyle and decides to make the most of his good fortune by remaining there. At the same time, a mysterious chivalrous thief is operating in the capital.

Volume four includes episodes nine to eleven, each with its own special audio commentary, together with commercials and web previews.
