Maesetsu Opening Act Volume 2 Blu-ray

A new curtain rises on Kagami Yoshimizu's world. This everyday comedy follows four young women striving to become comedians.

Nineteen-year-olds Fubuki Kitakaze, Mafuyu Kogarashi, Rin Shintani and Nayuta Asogi spend their days and nights working part-time, while earnestly rehearsing their routines. They work under the lofty slogan that making everyone happy through laughter will make them happy too, but their careers are slow to take off.

Their goal is to perform at Namba Grand Kagetsu, the comedy world's equivalent of Nippon Budokan. First, though, they decide to start closer to home and aim for the lowest Farm Class stage at Mugen Dai Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo.

They see the active high school comedy duo JK Cool as their rivals, though that rivalry exists only in their own minds. JK Cool are also school seniors of Mafuyu's younger sister Manatsu and her childhood friend Kanae Kanari. These two first-year high school girls begin pursuing comedy too. Eight performers in four duos take on the everyday struggle of comedy. Milk will spray out; laughter cannot be hidden.

Volume two contains episodes four through six. Regular video extras include the advance screening event held at Yoshimoto Yurakucho Theater on September twentieth, 2020, publicity spots, promotional video one and location-scouting footage from Isawa Onsen. Audio commentary features Yuki Takada and Nozomi Furuki.

The original first pressing included an illustrated Tsundora digipak with a clear sleeve, two Danshakutei coasters illustrated by Kagami Yoshimizu featuring Manatsu Kogarashi and Kanae Kanari, a twelve-page booklet and a bonus CD. The CD's corrected content is a Tsundora character song, a Summer Edition manzai performance by the main characters and an ogiri comedy session with the main cast. First-press physical extras depend on copy availability.
