Mafumafu releases his first solo album in two years. Kagurairo Artifact contrasts nature with human-made objects, exploring the idea that everything—whether it exists from birth or is created later—rests in the palm of an absolute presence. It features more songs than any of his previous releases, with a newly drawn jacket illustration by Chachagoma.

The accompanying film follows Mafumafu on a solo journey through Kyoto, narrated by Koki Uchiyama: boating, a rickshaw ride, eating his way through Arashiyama, making Japanese sweets, ninja training, dining on a riverside terrace and relaxing at his lodgings.
