Dear Boys

Monthly Shonen Magazine Comics Dear Boys Act 4 Vol. 8 is an official Japanese paper manga volume by Hiroki Yagami, published by Kodansha under the Monthly Shonen Magazine Comics label.

The prestigious Shonan Dai Sagami High basketball club is reputed to be the best in Kanagawa Prefecture. Although the team fought its way through the final league of the Inter-High Kanagawa qualifiers, it lost to its archrival Mizuho High in the third round of the national tournament. Time has passed, and ace Ayumi Fuse has taken over as captain. As the team and its new members set their sights on the nationals, third-year point guard Yanagimoto is sidelined by an injury. After competition for the vacant position, second-year Aoyama and first-year Kashiwagi are chosen to share the point-guard duties. First-year Mori also earns a place on the team. The Inter-High Kanagawa Prefectural Qualifying Tournament arrives. Second-seeded Shonan Dai Sagami wins its opening third-round match and the fourth round to reach the final league. As the four-school round-robin begins, Shonan Dai Sagami's first opponent is Masaki Chuo, which defeated fourth-seeded Honmoku East. Shonan Dai Sagami struggles with Masaki Chuo's fierce offense early on, but Fuse wins the battle of the aces against Saegusa and seizes the momentum in the fourth quarter. Shonan Dai Sagami wins 76 to 55. Meanwhile, Mizuho, whose lineup includes Ryoga Kanadome, known as the second coming of Kazuhiko Aikawa, defeats Yokohama Gakuen by the overwhelming score of 137 to 72. Mori and Kashiwagi begin special training to beat Mizuho in one week's time. Then a mysterious person appears at the student dormitory...?!
