The Phantom of Whitechapel, the third Moriarty the Patriot musical, performed in August 2021, comes to home video!

It is late nineteenth-century London, at the height of Pax Britannica. The British Empire is controlled by the upper classes through a deeply rooted, rigid class system. A person's status is fixed for life from birth, inevitably creating discrimination between people. Amid this society, a young man seeks to remove the evil created by the class system and build an ideal country. This is the story of James Moriarty, or the enemy of Sherlock Holmes.

Jack the Ripper, a serial killer, suddenly appears in Whitechapel, the poor district of east London. His brutal crimes and announcements of further murders are splashed across the newspapers, plunging the city into fear. Terror of Jack takes hold of people's hearts, and the situation develops into a confrontation between Scotland Yard and the district's vigilantes.

One day, criminal consultant William, played by Shogo Suzuki, receives a letter requesting his assistance from his old teacher Renfield, played by Isamu Ishizaka. Meanwhile, Lestrade, played by Shun Takagi, visits Sherlock, played by Ryo Hirano, and John, played by Kenta Kamakari, with a grave expression.

The performance consists of three movements: The Phantom of Whitechapel, Scotland Yard Rhapsody and A Student. The two-disc set contains the 180-minute main performance, 175 minutes of bonus footage and an enclosed booklet.

Extras include backstage footage, with a tour of the set featuring Yuki Izawa, who also operates the camera, and Ryotaro Akazawa; footage of scenes that varied by performance; highlights from the original production and Op.2; and full-stage views of nine selected songs. These are Moriarty the Patriot Op.3, Jack the Origin, Kowai Kowai na Nazo ga Ippai Kirisaki Jack, Akuma ga Yuku, Whitechapel no Kane no Ne wa, Megure Rondo, Abake Akuma no Takurami o, Tobira o Akete and Saigo no Hajimari. The Jump Festa 2021 Online special stream, the Op.2 Blu-ray/DVD Release Commemorative Special Concert, is also included.

Watson, Cecile Daigo plays James Bond, Isamu Ishizaka plays Jack Renfield, Shun Takagi plays George Lestrade, Teruma plays Zack Paterson, Junki Narasaka plays Arterton and Ray Fujita plays Charles Augustus Milverton. The ensemble includes Yuta Arakawa, Kosuke Araki, Karin Iji, Shinji Osawa, Yuki Kimura, Airi Kumada, Seiya Shirasaki, Soshi Tagami, Yuri Nagasaki, Yuma Hasui, Gento Fukutomi and Yuta Wakabayashi.
