My Hero Academia Anime

He could not become a hero... but he still wants to save someone! A story of growth on a human scale, following illegal heroes!

My Hero Academia, serialized for ten years in Weekly Shonen Jump by Kohei Horikoshi and enormously popular around the world, expands with the long-awaited animated adaptation of its official spin-off, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, the Shonen Jump+ series takes place several years before My Hero Academia.

In this superhuman society, roughly 80 percent of the world's population possesses extraordinary abilities. Amid a chaotic world, heroes are the chosen profession that protects people from accidents, disasters and villains who misuse their Quirks. Yet there are also people who, although never chosen, cannot ignore someone in need before their eyes. This is the story of those illegal heroes: the Vigilantes.

Koichi Haimawari is an unremarkable college student who admired heroes but gave up on his dream. His secret pleasure is roaming the city dressed as All Might and helping people while pretending to be a professional hero. His ordinary life changes when he meets Pop☆Step, a self-proclaimed idol who performs unauthorized guerrilla concerts, and Knuckleduster, a mysterious masked man who calls himself a cleaner specializing in scum. Koichi becomes involved in their Vigilante activities. Are those who save people outside the law criminals who disrupt order, or a neighborhood force for justice? The story of the illegal heroes, the Vigilantes, begins!
