Super Sentai TV Series

The forty-ninth Super Sentai series celebrates the franchise's fiftieth anniversary. This first Blu-ray collection is filled with supplementary features that take you behind the birth of the new heroes.

The Universe War saw the robots of every Super Sentai fight with all their strength. Its sole victor, the giant deity Tega Sword, fell into a deep sleep. It is said that anyone who gathers all the rings carrying portions of Tega Sword's power can have any wish granted.

Five outsiders obtain those rings. Hoeru Tono, a drifting part-time worker, becomes Gozyu Wolf. Former superstar idol Rikuo Byakuya becomes Gozyu Leon. Tega Sword believer Ryugi Bakugami becomes Gozyu Tyranno. Party-loving high school student Kinjiro Takehara becomes Gozyu Eagle, and high-class master detective Sumino Ichikawa becomes Gozyu Unicorn.

Can there be only one number one? With golden Tega Swords and beast Sentai Rings, these five ring warriors fight to obtain the remaining rings. Their unprecedented battle for the top pits them against Bridan, the enemy organization ruling No One World, and even the Super Sentai teams of the past.

Who will become number one in the new era? The gong now sounds for the battles of the ultimate, strongest heroes: No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger.

Making-of footage follows the start of filming and reveals how the new heroes came into being. The production announcement event was held at Theatre G-Rosso, the renowned home of hero shows, where all the past Red heroes from Akarenger to Bun Red gathered together. Further extras explore the Universe War and the anniversary, introduce the television series, teach transformations and combinations, and invite viewers to dance. Opening footage without superimposed credits and promotional videos are also included.

The original first-production bonus was a special booklet. This limited insert depends on remaining first-production stock and is not guaranteed.
