As they meet again, their high school baseball story begins to move once more! Oblivion Battery, the hugely popular comic serialised in Shonen Jump+, receives its long-awaited television anime adaptation.

Eko Mikawa’s manga, published in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app, has amassed more than 200 million views. Serialisation began in April 2018, and the series has won readers over with its unusual premise of a protagonist with amnesia, appealing characters, a realistic portrayal of high school baseball, and a finely judged balance of comedy and serious drama. The much-discussed title began its television anime broadcast in April 2024.

A talented creative team and production studio bring this passionate, fresh human drama about baseball and adolescence vividly to life. Popular voice actors bring the characters’ striking personalities to the screen.

The seemingly flawless powerhouse pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and the brilliant catcher Kei Kaname, known as the “General”, formed a formidable battery that made its name in junior high school baseball. Despite being scouted by the strongest schools across the country, they somehow enrol at Tokyo Metropolitan Kotesashi High School, a school with no reputation in baseball. Kei has also lost his memories, including his knowledge of the sport.

Other gifted players who were once defeated by the pair and drifted away from baseball happen to enrol at the same school. Among them are Aoi Todo, a powerful shortstop with a strong arm and formidable batting; Shunpei Chihaya, a second baseman who unsettles opponents with his bat control and speed; the gentle, trusted and level-headed Taro Yamada; and Kazuki Tsuchiya, a timid centre fielder whose strength is his speed. Their paths cross, and their high school baseball story starts moving again.

This volume includes the third part of the behind-the-scenes documentary and promotional videos.
