The definitive DX editions of the Secret series add many new elements, including new stories and playable characters, to its titles from Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout through Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key.

This is the DX edition of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. It adds new playable characters and stories, along with many new elements that deepen the experience and a large selection of additional content released for the original game.

What is Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout?

Its theme is the small steps toward growth taken by relatable young people.

Ryza, an ordinary girl, and her friends encounter alchemy and embark on a great adventure that draws them closer to the secrets of their home island.

Three new playable characters

Agatha, Kilo and Romy join as newly playable characters, with newly drawn character portraits by Toridamono.

Agatha Harmon

Agatha leads the Guardians who protect the village of Rasenboden.

None of her fellow Guardians can match her swordsmanship.

Fair and impartial, she values discipline without being cold, and is widely respected throughout the village.

Voiced by Masumi Asano.

Kilo Shiness

A woman known as a spirit user, Kilo has a somewhat fragile air about her.

She continues to fight alone to protect what is precious to her.

Ryza and her companions will meet her in an unexpected place.

Voiced by Shiori Mikami.

Romy Vogel

Romy travels from place to place as a merchant.

A familiar face, she often visits the village where Ryza and her friends live.

She has the drive to rush anywhere an opportunity for business presents itself.

Although she can be something of an opportunist, she also has a surprisingly dependable side.

Voiced by Yuki Nagaku.

New stories written by Yashichiro Takahashi

Kilo & Bos — their meeting

A new episode lets you control Kilo.

This side story follows Bos, who wanders into the Underworld while fleeing the Philuscha and meets Kilo, up to the point when he rejoins Ryza and her friends.

After Ryza 1 — what happened after that summer

A new after story follows Ryza, Agatha and Romy on an adventure together, depicting events between Atelier Ryza and Atelier Ryza 2.

Having remained on the island, Ryza teaches the children. But the children long for adventure, ignore her instructions and leave the island, forcing Ryza and her companions to search for them.

Custom Combat mode

The newly added free-battle mode lets you freely choose monsters' levels and combinations before entering combat.

Specify monsters' actions, start with increased gauges or slow down combat to admire the battle sequences, enjoying fights however you wish.

A wealth of additional content from the original game

The game includes swimsuit costumes, Photo Mode, weapon customization, additional stories and maps, a wide variety of background music, and more.
