Story

Kohaku awakens in an unfamiliar factory. A strange sword lies before her.

The sword has a will of its own and introduces itself as ExeBreaker. It possesses the Ouroboros System, a power that can turn time back by three seconds.

Still unaware of her circumstances, Kohaku follows ExeBreaker's guidance. As she advances, she discovers that Cogen City, the city on the sea where she lives, has been completely transformed.

Together with ExeBreaker, Kohaku sets out to uncover the mystery of Cogen City, now reduced to ruins.

A new kind of side-scrolling 2D action

Control Kohaku, the heroine wielding a greatsword and voiced by Asuka Kakumoto, as you fight your way toward the heart of a story filled with mysteries.

Rewind at the instant of defeat and choose the best action

The game's defining feature is time reversal through the Ouroboros System, which lets you turn back time by up to three seconds from the moment of instant death.

Rewind to the right moment to undo a mistake, repeat your attempts on the spot through trial and error, and progress by finding the best action.

Race through Cogen City with varied actions

Experience advanced, thrilling actions full of speed, including dashes and wall kicks.

Your sword attacks do more than defeat enemies: reflecting enemy projectiles and turning a crisis into an opportunity are also keys to success.

Reach the heart of the story and uncover deeper mysteries through repeated play

The mysteries deepen as you advance through the stages. Distinctive bosses and your exchanges with the characters draw you into COGEN's world.

Access terminals scattered throughout the stages to investigate the mysteries further with your own hands.

Exhilarating, dramatic background music

The music is composed by Motoi Sakuraba, familiar from the Tales and Dark Souls series. His background music suits COGEN's substantial story and exhilarating action.

Packed with reasons to keep playing

A variety of missions spans individual stages and the game as a whole.

Scores and defeated-enemy counts are tracked, and a system automatically logs your previous results. It is an action game well suited to players who want to master every challenge.
