Danganronpa Another Episode comes to PlayStation 4

Originally released for PlayStation Vita in September 2014, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is the series’ first action adventure. Its story takes place between Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

The world outside the academy

The setting is the world beyond the academy, which the series had never depicted before. In Towa City, ruled by Monokuma, the story unfolds around two heroines: Komaru Naegi, an ordinary girl with an Ultimate brother, and Toko Fukawa, the Ultimate Writing Prodigy.

What has happened to the world outside the academy? And what has become of the surviving characters?

The series’ first 3D action adventure

Battles, puzzles, mechanisms and many other forms of despair await within the game.

Use a gun that fires Kotodama, or Truth Bullets, to defeat attacking Monokumas and overcome the different mechanisms in your path. There are many types of Truth Bullets, and choosing the appropriate type is the key to progress.

Two heroines working together

Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa are the story’s dual heroines. Each has her own purpose, and they cooperate to overcome desperate situations.

Many different types of Monokuma attack them. Characters from the Danganronpa series return alongside distinctive new characters, gradually revealing a story that has never been told before.
