PlayStation 4 Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours - Limited Edition

Dariusburst CS finally comes to PS4 on disc

The much-requested physical PlayStation 4 edition of Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours arrives. The shooting game originally launched January 14, 2016 for PlayStation Vita, PS4 as a download, and Steam.

Requests for a packaged PS4 edition had been strong since the PlayStation Vita version’s launch, and this release answers them.

About Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours

This is a home adaptation, with additional content, of Taito’s arcade title Dariusburst Another Chronicle EX. Alongside a complete port of the arcade game, it adds CS Mode, a completely original new mode.

Since release, additional downloadable content has provided collaborations with other shooting games, including works from Taito and Sega. Such additional DLC is separate content and is not stated to be included in this physical edition.

About the Darius series

The manufacturer traces the series to its 1986 release, which sparked a boom in game centers throughout Japan. Alongside Gradius and R-Type, Darius is known as one of the three major side-scrolling shooting series.

A large cabinet joining three monitors and powerful sound broke with the conventions of the industry at the time and established the series’ distinctive world.

Subsequent ports and new releases continued to develop its functions and presentation. The Darius series still captivates many fans.

Limited Edition contents

This edition features original limited-edition packaging with a newly drawn illustration by Kanetake Ebikawa.

The original package includes Original Arrangement Album 2 and the reproduced Silver Hawk Burst spacecraft figure set in the 2P through 4P colors.

The bundled reproduced Silver Hawk Burst figures are intended for ages 15 and over. This accessory age guidance is separate from the game’s CERO A, all-ages classification. Used copies are not guaranteed to retain every original accessory.
