The first asymmetrical action game in the Dragon Ball game series arrives. Players divide into ordinary citizens without superpowers, the Survivors, and an overwhelmingly powerful Raider, racing through a world inside the mysterious phenomenon known as a Temporal Seam.

Survivors seek to escape this world using the Super Time Machine while evading the Raider. The Raider evolves repeatedly, driving the Survivors into a corner.

To escape, use a variety of skills and items. Borrowing the powers of mighty warriors is another option. Can the Survivors get away from the Raider? Experience the overwhelming disparity in strength unique to Dragon Ball!

Ordinary citizens against the strongest Raider

Survivors are ordinary citizens with a power level of five and no superpowers. The Raider pursues them with strength formidable enough to corner even mighty warriors.

Activating the Super Time Machine and escaping the battlefield creates one tense, heart-pounding moment after another. Meanwhile, the Raider can feel the exhilaration of sweeping away enemies with overwhelming power and becoming ever stronger through evolution.

Each match has a different outcome, unfolding new dramas between Raider and Survivors.

Use skills and items unique to Dragon Ball

Survivors do not face the Raider empty-handed. By using skills and items, they can slip past the Raider's gaze, escape or sometimes attack, resisting in many different ways.

Equipping skins lets you take the appearance of characters such as Oolong and Bulma and use their distinctive skills. The chance to control characters who have received less attention in earlier Dragon Ball games is part of the appeal.

Watch for comical methods of battle quite different from those of the mighty warriors.

The Survivor is you, just as you are!

Freely combine hairstyles and clothing from a wide variety of avatar parts to enter the Dragon Ball world in your own unique form.

An original avatar tailored to your tastes is sure to give you the courage to stand up to the Raider!

Connection with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

The Survivors' base is in a town next to Conton City, which appeared in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

If you own Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the games can launch one another from within the game and link save data. The avatar you use in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 can also be used here.

Connection across different platforms is not supported. The Nintendo Switch version does not have the mutual in-game launching feature.

Post-release updates

At launch, the publisher announced plans for continued updates after release, adding not only Raider characters and usable skins but also events and a succession of items. The original announcement invited players to follow the official site for details of future updates.

Online play requirements

This is an online-only game. The official Japanese site confirms that PlayStation 4 online play requires an internet connection and a paid PlayStation Plus subscription. Matches support up to eight players.

Playing also requires agreeing to the Bandai Namco Entertainment service terms displayed in the game.
