The battle surrounding the Whispered reaches its climax—a tactical simulation RPG across the battlefield!
As excitement grew ahead of the broadcast of Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, the landmark science-fiction action series Full Metal Panic! received its first standalone home-console game on PlayStation 4.
The simulation RPG portrays the fierce struggle between Mithril, the world's strongest armed organisation, and Amalgam, the vast organisation pulling strings behind the incidents, bringing the battlefield of humanoid Arm Slave weapons to life.
Development is handled by B.B. Studio, familiar from the Super Robot Wars series. Protagonist Sousuke Sagara begins his lonely battle to rescue heroine Kaname Chidori, who has been taken away by Amalgam.
Tactical battles between Arm Slaves
The Tactical Part depicts intense battles between Arm Slaves on various battlefields that also appear in the original work.
Arm Slave weapons have different characteristics depending on their type: some allow you to select the part of an enemy to attack, while others compensate for a low hit probability through the number of hits or attacks they deliver.
The game uses an action-order system rather than a turn-based system. The total weight of equipped weapons and the action taken immediately beforehand affect the order in which units act. Choosing weapons suited to your strategy is the key to victory.
A story supervised by original author Shoji Gatoh
Mithril suffers a devastating blow from Amalgam as the organisation finally begins moving in earnest. The story surrounding the Whispered starts to change dramatically.
The story moves from Jindai High School to Namsac, a town in Southeast Asia.
New battlefields and new encounters make the unfolding story increasingly intense, presented through extensive character voices and a wide variety of event illustrations.
