Takuya Kimura and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio unite for legal suspense

Takuya Kimura appears in a major PlayStation 4 legal-suspense game, now offered in a new-price edition.

The actor and artist joins forces with Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio to create an authentic legal-suspense action game. Set in modern Tokyo, it follows a new hero, Takayuki Yagami, as he confronts horrifying crimes, conspiracy and a series of gruesome murders.

A powerful story brought to life by actors and musicians

Actor and artist Takuya Kimura plays the protagonist. He gives an impassioned performance as Takayuki Yagami, a man plunged into the depths of despair who rises again.

Accomplished actors Shosuke Tanihara, Kenichi Takito and Akira Nakao join him as the major characters surrounding the protagonist.

Songs written especially for the game by the rock band [ALEXANDROS] heighten its substantial drama.

Can Yagami expose the conspiracy and solve every mystery?

Use a new range of investigation actions to uncover the truth

As a detective, you must pursue the mysteries behind a variety of cases. A wide range of investigation actions becomes your toolkit.

Question people, present evidence, tail suspects, chase targets, use disguises, pick locks, explore in Search Mode and undertake covert-photography Scoop Missions. Use these skills to assemble the circumstances, physical evidence and testimony.

Investigations can also meet with interference, forcing you to overcome enemies through combat.

Side cases and activities provide plenty to explore

Beyond the serial murders at the center of the story, investigate the many Side Cases requested by the city's residents to improve your abilities as a detective.

Through Yagami, these cases also reveal many varied and unexpected sides of Takuya Kimura.

The city offers numerous activities, ranging from familiar casinos, gambling dens and pinball to the many arcade games at Club Sega, drone races spanning the city and a board-game activity themed around virtual reality.

Important differences in this edition

This edition replaces the character model and voice of Kyohei Hamura used in the original game released on December 13, 2018. The story and other game content remain unchanged.

Save data created with the original edition cannot be used to resume play in this edition.

No exchanges or patches to convert either the physical or downloadable original edition were planned. Owners of the original could continue enjoying it as before.

Save data from the special trial version can still be transferred into the original full game, but cannot be transferred into this edition.

The balance adjustments distributed through March 2019, EXTRA EASY simplified battle input, and the Beginner Detective, Truth-Seeking, Drone Racer Support, Hermit Support and Master Detective packs are included in the game. After starting, their items can be collected from the delivery box beside the entrance to Yagami Detective Agency.

DLC previously obtained or purchased for the original game can also be used with this edition. If it has not been downloaded or has been uninstalled, download it from PlayStation Store; it does not need to be purchased again.
