Memories Off MAGES.

Beyond the moment you discover an irreplaceable feeling

A completely new title, Memories Off Sousou, arrives for the Memories Off series' 25th anniversary.

Set in the Shonan region in autumn, it follows a new cast through a poignant and painful love story. Taking place three years after the preceding SINce Memories, it marks the return of the main numbered series.

It brings fans even greater suffering, even greater unfairness, even greater excitement, and even greater tenderness.

In this title, the character “sou,” which conveys thoughts and feelings, carries a special meaning. What does “double” signify? Two things, two people, duality, opposites, paired counterparts: it contains many possibilities. The subtitle “Not always true” means precisely that things are not necessarily the truth.

A 25th-anniversary romance that comes with pain

Second-year high school student Itsuki Kusumegi has a fiancée whose face and name he does not know. On his seventeenth birthday, he will be told who she is.

One day, he meets Sae Sunomiya, an older student at the same school, and discovers for the first time what it feels like to fall in love.

With advice from his childhood friend Nene Amaha, Itsuki grows closer to Sae. Yet Nene has loved Itsuki for a long time and resents the fact that he has a fiancée.

As their different intentions intersect, what ending awaits the story of these three people?

Character designs by Mutsumi Sasaki

Mutsumi Sasaki, who designed the characters for the first Memories Off and Memories Off 2nd, returns once more.

The appealing characters drawn by Sasaki bring the story to life and make this 25th-anniversary title all the more memorable.

Meet the characters

Itsuki Kusumegi — voiced by Yuya Hirose

Itsuki's grades are average, and he does not belong to a school club. His classmates see him as a rich family's spoiled son, and his appearance is somewhat flashy. He often visits Le Sac with his close group of friends.

Under his family's rules, a partner—his fiancée—has already been chosen for him, but Itsuki himself does not know who she is. This has also left him uninterested in romance. His relationship with his childhood friend Nene is like that of best friends.

His guiding belief is: “If you act for someone else's sake, everyone will be happy.” He is a second-year student at Fujikawa High School.

Sae Sunomiya — voiced by Lynn

An academically gifted scholarship student, Sae achieves excellent grades. She works part-time at Le Sac's Fujikawa Station branch and carefully saves her earnings.

She has difficulty resisting pressure. When someone relies on her, she finds herself helping despite her hesitation. She is especially caring toward younger students and younger people, which makes her popular.

She has a habit of narrowing her eyes when looking at someone a little way away. She is a third-year student at Fujikawa High School.

Nene Amaha — voiced by Ai Kakuma

Friendly and well liked, Nene is popular with both boys and girls. She is Itsuki's childhood friend, and the two are like best friends who can talk openly about anything.

She is kind and cute, but she also teases him or encourages him as only a childhood friend can. They are so close that people around them joke that they make a perfect couple.

Her family is wealthy, and she lives in a luxury apartment near Sumisora. She is a second-year student at Fujikawa High School.

Kazune Kitakata — voiced by Hitomi Sekine

Itsuki's classmate is a shy, literary-minded otaku girl. She is an otaku rather than a fujoshi and tends to become very talkative when discussing her interests.

She belongs to the literature club and apparently posts her own work on a novel-submission website. She is a second-year student at Fujikawa High School.

Forster Marie Akira — voiced by Ami Aimoto

A player with the ability to compete at age-group national-team level, she was scouted on a sports scholarship for the school's powerful girls' soccer team and came from Germany to study in Japan.

She is also something of a troublemaker with behavioral problems. Hikari Kurauchi is her roommate in the dormitory. She is a first-year student at Fujikawa High School.

Setsuka Nakamori — voiced by Aya Yamane

A gyaru with a rebellious streak, Setsuka says exactly what she thinks. She often hangs out with her friends near Ashikajima.

She is very capable academically, although she has not quite shown her full ability in the school's rankings. Having argued with her parents about her future, she is currently away from home.

She is a third-year student at Fujikawa High School.
