This time, the stars are three dogs!

In METAL DOGS, adorable dogs race all over the place and fire the weapons carried on their backs in a unique shooting-action game.

It is the first spin-off of Metal Max, the RPG series about tanks, dogs and humans. Its release description presented it as a prequel to the then-planned Metal Max: Wild West for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

And the genre? Rather than the usual RPG, it offers casual shooting action that a wide range of players can easily enjoy.

Aokigahara at the foot of Mount Fuji is deep in hell

The game is set in the ruins of Aokigahara Heaven Hill, once a human settlement at the foot of Mount Fuji.

The story begins when an elderly scientist, his body covered in machinery and his appearance reminiscent of someone familiar to series fans, encounters the battle dog Pochi.

The base expands as the game progresses, and the shop's selection grows as well.

They just keep shooting! Three distinctive weapon types

Three distinctive types of weapons carry on the Metal Max series' traditions.

Each dog can equip up to three weapons.

Choose equipment creatively to suit the monsters appearing in the quest you are taking on and each dog's individual characteristics.

Tired of slaying dragons? Machines, biological monsters and giant creatures!

A wide variety of challenging monsters appears, including the Wanted monsters—bounty targets—that are a Metal Max tradition.

The adorable dogs' battle against these enormous monsters is about to begin.

Dress your dogs in varied equipment and admire them along the way

View Mode even lets you take photographs.

In View Mode, you can take your time admiring your beloved dogs' adorable details.

There are also many costumes, in the form of equipment, to dress up these battle dogs.

You can enjoy coordinating outfits that bring out each dog's individuality, or dress them in matching clothes.

Physical reversible jacket

At release, first-production copies were offered with a reversible jacket featuring special release-commemorating artwork.

The presence and condition of that original jacket depend on the individual Used copy.
