METAL GEAR SOLID V GROUND ZEROES
Used products are shipped with the original box and manual when these were included with the item at release. Please note that some modern games, such as PS5 and Nintendo Switch titles, may not originally include a manual. All games are carefully preserved and shipped in great condition.
Hideo Kojima handles game design, direction, writing and production for this chapter of Metal Gear. Photorealistic environments and freely planned infiltration introduce a new generation of stealth action. Ground Zeroes is the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, revealing where its story begins.
Set in 1975, a few months after Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, originally released on PSP in 2010, it includes the central story mission and several side missions. New systems create tense situations, introducing thrilling gameplay.
Story
In 1975, the Cold War eases and the Vietnam War ends. Snake's nationless Caribbean army undertakes secret government missions and acquires nuclear weapons. An information leak prompts an IAEA inspection request. Outside the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and representing no state, the force questions the agency's intentions.
Paz, Snake's former companion and a spy believed dead, is alive under extreme interrogation at a US base in southern Cuba. Its leased territory falls outside both countries' laws. Chico, a young soldier who loves Paz, attempts a rescue alone, is captured and radios for help. As Mother Base prepares for inspection, Snake leaves to rescue both. That decision begins a calamity determining his fate.
Infiltration and PlayStation mission
Enemies watch from all directions. Select infiltration and escape routes, call a helicopter or commandeer an abandoned base vehicle. Score rankings and smartphone/tablet companion features were included at release.
The PlayStation 3/4 Deja Vu mission revisits the original Metal Gear Solid's memorable scenes, characters, theatrical dialogue, camera work and editing, recalling its origins despite older graphics. Rediscover those memories during Snake's mission.
Japanese physical edition
Early production originally featured reversible cover artwork by Metal Gear art director Yoji Shinkawa.
