The legendary dragon returns on PlayStation 4

The acclaimed PlayStation 3 title is reborn on PlayStation 4 with higher resolution and a higher frame rate.

Tokyo, 2010. One night, a shooting occurs in an entertainment district swirling with people's desires and noise. It should have been an ordinary incident for this town—until a woman appeared.

The destinies of four men overlap. Their passionate, intense ways of life create a new story of miracles.

Four lives create a new story

The setting is Kamurocho, the city that never sleeps, in Tokyo in 2010.

The protagonists are the legendary dragon Kazuma Kiryu, moneylender Shun Akiyama, escaped prisoner Taiga Saejima and detective Masayoshi Tanimura.

The four protagonists' ways of life intersect with one another's destinies, bringing new appeal to the story. Substories—including the moneylender's and detective's chapters—portray a deeper, more varied Kamurocho from each of their four perspectives.

Four distinct styles of explosive combat

The arrival of these four men transforms the exhilarating, powerful battles: speedster Akiyama, immensely strong Saejima, Tanimura with his detective-style action, and Kiryu, the strongest man.

The fun of brawling is multiplied by four. Punch, kick and turn objects around you into weapons.

Everything is presented dynamically, including the devastating finishing techniques known as Heat Actions, Revelations that inspire new moves from events on street corners, and Chase Battles during rooftop pursuits.

Hone your techniques and master the strongest form of each of the four styles.

Exciting leisure spots add depth to play

Leisure activities include pachinko and hot-spring table tennis.

Hostess clubs feature seven women selected in a nationwide audition held in 2009. They have evolved toward greater realism: when you enter without requesting a particular hostess, two women can join you.

Other activities include a massage parlor featuring Mari Yaguchi, a hostess-management mode in which you can also court a hostess you have trained, and karaoke that allows duets.

This lineup of exciting leisure spots brings greater depth to the ways you can enjoy the city.

A change for the remastered edition

During development of the PlayStation 4 remaster, some of protagonist Masayoshi Tanimura's dialogue needed to be revised and his voice recorded again. Because Hiroki Narimiya, who had played Tanimura, had retired from entertainment, the character's model and voice casting were changed.
