Saint Seiya Anime

The legendary Saints write a new chapter for the world. Whenever evil spreads, these warriors of hope appear. Wearing Cloths associated with 88guardian constellations, they gather to protect Athena, the goddess reborn once every few hundred years. New settings and developments bring the original story through its Silver Saints arc to spectacular battle entertainment. Masami Kurumada's internationally beloved Saint Seiya, with over 50million copies, is reborn with modern 3DCG technology. North American pre-production and video workflows,5.1-channel sound and original orchestral background music support this worldwide production.

Separated from his sister as a child, Seiya now lives in a children's home. Awakening to an inner power called Cosmo draws him into the conflict surrounding the Saints and Athena. Told that becoming a Saint may help him locate his sister, he undergoes harsh training, wins the Pegasus Cloth and heads to the Galaxian Wars arena. There he encounters other young Bronze Saints. Seiya and his companions confront successive assassins aiming to kill Athena and conspiracies within the Sanctuary. Humanity's and Athena's fate rests in their hands.

All 12episodes are included. Masakazu Morita voices Pegasus Seiya, Takahiro Sakurai plays Dragon Shiryu, Shouro Miura plays Cygnus Hyoga, Satomi Sato plays Andromeda Shun, Katsuyuki Konishi plays Phoenix Ikki and Fumiko Orikasa plays Saori Kido. Yoshiharu Ashino directs, with writing by Eugene Son, character designs by Terumi Nishii, Cloth designs by Takashi Okazaki, music by Yoshihiro Ike and production by Toei Animation. The Struts perform opening theme Pegasus Seiya and ending theme Somebody New.

The two-disc release comes in an outer sleeve and contains approximately 278minutes. Japanese and English main-program audio are both provided in Linear PCM 5.1 surround, with Japanese subtitles, on region-free Blu-ray.
