The television anime Saiyuki Reload Blast, which began broadcasting in July, presents a series of three monthly drama releases featuring original stories written especially for audio.

While pursuing White Rabbit Goku to recover a stolen sutra, Sanzo falls into a deep hole. When he wakes, he finds himself in Wonderland. Alongside this Alice in Wonderland parody, an idol parody pits the group against Kougaiji and his companions in a battle for a regular television programme. The familiar Sanzo party then gathers for a closing roundtable.
