Sayuri’s long-awaited first album, Mikazuki no Kokai, opens with her debut single Mikazuki and closes with birthday song, written at the very end of her teenage years. These fourteen stories from Sanketsu Shojo sing of the distances and connections between Sayuri and the worlds around her, forming an album that can be called proof of her existence.

Filled with the feelings of her voyage between her teens and her twenties, the album marks both a conclusion and a beginning for Sanketsu Shojo. The standard edition’s cover depicts the twenty-year-old Sayuri in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, in a world that lies between them.
