Seiko Matsuda Live 1992 Nouvelle Vague Blu-ray
松田 聖子/LIVE 1992 Nouvelle Vague
Seiko Matsuda’s concert footage arrives on Blu-ray for the first time. Previously available on DVD only as part of the fully limited-production 25th ANNIVERSARY SEIKO MATSUDA PREMIUM DVD BOX released in 2005, this concert has received fresh colour grading and digital remastering. The jacket recreates the original VHS artwork as closely as possible and differs from the jacket of the DVD included in that earlier box.
The stage programme centres on her self-produced album Nouvelle Vague. Sensual performances and rich renditions of ballads such as Daite… and Kitto, Mata Aeru… create a compelling concert. With charming costumes for Aoi Sangosho and Akai Sweet Pea, she moves from artist to idol as the audience’s calls of ‘Seiko!’ grow more excited, leading straight into the encore.
The recording closes with a bonus-like moment: she tells the audience, ‘I wasn’t planning to sing,’ before performing SWEET MEMORIES, bringing this absorbing concert to its finale.
