Samurai Shodown Clarice Disc Game Music

SNK’s Arcade Sound Digital Collection brings music from its extensive arcade catalogue to CD through new digital recordings. Beginning in the first year of Reiwa, the project set out to select games from SNK’s enormous catalogue and release one title every month for twenty-four months.

The sixth volume features music from the first two Samurai Shodown games, popular titles that helped define NEOGEO fighting games. Samurai Shodown won fans through distinctive systems such as the Rage Gauge, weapon clashes and barehanded blade catches, together with vivid presentation and character designs. Samurai Shodown II strengthened both strategy and presentation with additions including weapon-breaking techniques and secret moves. Released as the new Samurai Shodown game brought fresh excitement to the series, these new digital recordings revive the music from its original two entries in high-quality sound.

The collection uses new digital recordings made directly from arcade boards, seeking to present their sound sources with the greatest possible clarity. The recordings contain the sounds present on those boards.
