Sound! Euphonium Animation

Music and youth reach their final chapter in this continuation of Sound! Euphonium. Since its television debut in 2015, the series has followed the lives of a high-school concert band. Now leading more than ninety members, Kumiko Oumae throws herself into her final year of club activities, determined to win the national competition’s gold medal.

Spring brings both excitement and anxiety: who will join the band, can Kumiko unite its members, and can their long-awaited goal finally become reality? As she works tirelessly as president, a formidable challenge also emerges for her as a musician. Mayu Kuroe transfers from a school accustomed to national competition. Like Kumiko, she plays the euphonium. Her beautiful tone, outstanding technique and gentle personality seem almost perfect, yet glimpses of another side leave Kumiko with feelings she cannot quite explain. Mayu’s belief that a school club should not demand painful attachment forces Kumiko to consider how to respond, while graduation draws closer.

This volume presents the opening episodes alongside Extra Episode 1, Always Natural. Kumiko and Reina are busy with their responsibilities running the band. Watching the two of them, Midori realises that she has recently been hearing a certain phrase unusually often.

Additional features include unused footage, web previews, making-of footage, the creditless opening and ending, promotional videos and commercials, and footage of the new-information announcement held on 23 November 2023. Cast and staff commentaries accompany the episodes.
