Sound! Euphonium Animation

Kyoto Animation presents the latest chapter of Sound! Euphonium, a story of music and youth reaching its finale.

Since its television debut in 2015, the series has followed the youth of a high-school concert band. The Kitauji High School band now has more than ninety members. Newly appointed president Kumiko Oumae races through her final year of club activities, determined to achieve the long-awaited gold medal at the national competition.

Beyond the finale. "We're going to win gold at the nationals." And then, the next piece begins.

Spring. Kumiko, a third-year student and president of the Kitauji High School concert band, is filled with both hope and anxiety. What new members will arrive? Can she bring everyone together as president? Can they finally achieve their cherished goal of winning gold at the nationals?

With these thoughts in her heart, Kumiko throws herself into her duties. Yet a formidable obstacle also appears before her as a performer.

Mayu Kuroe has transferred from a powerhouse school that regularly competes at the nationals. The instrument in her hands is the same as Kumiko's: the euphonium. With her brilliant tone, outstanding technique and gentle nature, Mayu seems perfect and is admired by those around her.

But the shadows that Mayu occasionally reveals stir feelings in Kumiko that she cannot quite describe.

"It's only a club activity. I don't think it's something you need to cling to so desperately..." How will Kumiko face Mayu?

Graduation is drawing near for these students who have devoted their youth to music. "Let's go, everyone." Kumiko's final year of high school begins!

Spring 2024: and then, the next piece begins.
