The 13 Lords of the Shogun Complete Edition Volume 4 Blu-ray Box

Koki Mitani presents unpredictable entertainment. During the Taira clan's ascendancy, Hojo Yoshitoki is merely the second son of a minor warrior family in Izu. But the marriage of the exile Minamoto no Yoritomo to his sister Masako sets the gears of fate in motion.

In 1180, Yoritomo unites the warriors of Kanto and raises a rebellion against the Taira. The Hojo family joins this reckless gamble. Becoming Yoritomo's foremost aide, Yoshitoki risks his life on political maneuvers and ultimately defeats the Taira clan.

Yoritomo establishes the shogunate and becomes shogun, but meets a mysterious death at the height of his power. The second shogun, Yoriie, struggles in anguish to surpass his great father. The third shogun, Sanetomo, tries to survive by serving entirely as a figurehead. Shoguns are replaced in the power game between Yoshitoki and the retainers. As uncle to both shoguns, Yoshitoki desperately steers the government.

When the legitimate Minamoto line ends, the Hojo stand at the summit of the shogunate. In the capital, retired Emperor Go-Toba raises an army to overthrow Yoshitoki. With the fate of warrior government at stake, Yoshitoki faces his final decisive battle.
