The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest Animation

Banished from the crown prince’s party, court magician Alec reunites with his former companions to rebuild the legendary party Lasting Period. Their name will soon resound around the world. This limited Blu-ray box brings together all twelve episodes of The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest.

Dismissed as a useless magician who can barely do anything beyond support magic, Alec Ygret suddenly finds himself expelled from the party he had accompanied on the crown prince’s dungeon expeditions. The prince’s harassment costs him his position at court as well. At a loss, Alec is approached by a friend from his magic-academy days.

Reuniting with the friends who once formed his party, Alec begins a second life. This is the adventure of a former court magician whose abilities had been left to stagnate. Four years earlier, the four-person Lasting Period had already been called legendary; now its name will gradually become known across the world.

The limited edition features a three-sided case newly illustrated by original character artist Yuunagi and inner case art by character designer Yoko Sato. A special booklet covers the characters, background art and episodes, with staff interviews. An original novel by Alto, Academy Prequel: The Untold Story of Limit Break, is also enclosed.

Set one year before Alec and his companions graduate from the Royal Magic Academy, the prequel follows Lasting Period as they aim to conquer the forty-fifth floor of the dungeon in the royal capital of Galdana. Rosa refuses permission to proceed: without someone capable of powerful ice magic, they cannot defeat the floor boss Twilight. What method will Alec and Ornest devise to secure her approval? The story reveals the moment that Limit Break was born.

Bonus videos include the creditless opening and ending, web previews for every episode and the promotional and commercial collection. Cast audio commentaries accompany episodes 5, 9, 11 and 12.
