The Quintessential Quintuplets Animation

The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽ brings the TV special Summer Vacation Without Coincidences to Blu-ray. Determined to concentrate on entrance-exam study during the summer holidays, Futaro takes a break from his part-time tutoring job. Then the manager at his other workplace is hospitalized after an accident. When Futaro visits, he meets Nino again after some time apart, but for some reason she acts coldly toward him. Her attitude leaves him bewildered.

Invited by Futaro, the quintuplets head to the swimming pool. While Itsuki worries that her sisters might start fighting over him, Nino and Miku seize every opportunity to get closer to Futaro. On the way home, Yotsuba gazes at his back and reflects on the feelings she has kept to herself.

The edition features an anime-illustrated digipak, a special clear water sleeve case, a sparkling quintuplets visual board using Negi Haruba’s colour illustration published in Weekly Shonen Magazine’s 2023 issue 32, an Uesugi “Fu”taro tattoo-style sticker and a special booklet.

The video extras include comments from all six principal cast members, originally shown after the main programme during its theatrical screenings, and the release-commemorative stage greeting held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on July 16, 2023, featuring Ayana Taketatsu and Miku Ito. A teaser promotional video, the main trailer and creditless opening and ending complete the supplementary programme.
