The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent Animation

An unexpected summoning as the Saint becomes the beginning of a slower life in another world. Originally published on Shosetsuka ni Naro and then released through Kadokawa BOOKS, this story pairs a relatable heroine’s extraordinary powers with appealing friendships and an enviable romance. Its ComicWalker manga adaptation also proved popular: the series had surpassed 2.2 million combined print and digital copies by February 2021. The television adaptation began in April 2021, bringing its beautiful fantasy landscapes and comforting, happiness-filled atmosphere to the screen.

Sei, a slightly workaholic office worker in her twenties, returns home after overtime and is suddenly surrounded by light. She has been summoned to another world as its Saint—but two women have been brought there. The prince gives all his attention to the other arrival, a high-school girl, and completely ignores Sei. If that is how things stand, surely she can do as she likes?

Leaving the palace, Sei puts her love of plants to use and starts working as an ordinary employee at the Medicinal Flora Research Institute. With support from its director Johan and her mentor Jude, she learns to make potions and use magic. Everything she produces is fifty per cent more effective than normal, unexpectedly revealing her power as the Saint. When her potion saves the life of the gravely injured knight commander Albert, rumours begin to spread that she is the true Saint.

Known as the Ice Knight, Albert commands the palace’s Third Order of Knights, yet shows a gentler expression around Sei. Yuri, commander of the Court Mage Corps, takes a strong interest in her magical power. This opening volume includes episodes 1–4, the opening without credits and a collection of promotional videos.

First-press extras, while supplies last, include a newly illustrated outer case and digipak, plus a special booklet with a new story by the original author, original illustrations from the manga and spin-off artists, design materials and an illustration gallery. A newly recorded character-talk CD, “Medicinal Flora Research Institute Research Notes — Chamomile Edition,” features Sei, Johan and Jude. These first-press contents are not guaranteed; photographs showing them illustrate the conditional first-press configuration.
