Tune In to the Midnight Heart Animation

To fulfil the promise he once made to Apollo, Arisu declares that he will help all four girls achieve their dreams through their voices. The story of Arisu and these determined young women comes to Blu-ray in Tune In to the Midnight Heart, adapted from Masakuni Igarashi’s manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, with more than 510,000 copies in circulation. Volume four contains episodes ten to twelve.

Arisu Yamabuki, heir to a wealthy family, strives to be perfect in everything, but is searching for the final one percent he believes he lacks. It is connected to Apollo, the anonymous broadcaster whose Midnight Heart Tune radio streams he listened to almost every night. Her voice was his sole comfort as he lay alone in bed.

Apollo abruptly stopped broadcasting at the end of his first year of middle school. Arisu knows neither her face nor her real name: her voice is his only clue. In the spring of his second year of high school, he joins Furin High to find her. Following a familiar voice into its broadcasting club, he encounters four girls who all dream of careers involving their voices. His quest to keep his promise draws him into helping each of them pursue her ambitions.

The bonus CD contains Furin High School Broadcasting Club: After School Radio, volume four, hosted by Miku Ito, the voice of Shinobu Uzuki. It also includes Shinobu’s solo version of “Bus ja Tsuki ni Ikenakute.”
