Uramichi Oniisan Anime

Hello, good children! Do you like a big brother who has two sides? Uramichi Oniisan, the television anime that began airing on TV Tokyo and other stations in July 2021, arrives on Blu-ray.

Uramichi Omota is the exercise instructor on the educational program Together with Maman. Known as Uramichi Oniisan, he is a kind big brother who smiles at the children. Sometimes, however, they catch a glimpse of his hidden side. He is exhausted, distressed and unwilling to do anything. The darkness of adult life slips out of his unstable state of mind, leaving the children distinctly uncomfortable.

Even so, adults keep moving forward, although they may find no hope in the world and despair at the structure of society. As an instructor on an educational program, he wants to live up to those expectations. A pessimistic hymn to life, dedicated to good children who have grown into adults.

This Blu-ray contains episodes one to three. Episode-one audio commentary features Hiroshi Kamiya as Uramichi Omota and Kenyu Horiuchi as Tekito Derekida. The set includes volume one of the original soundtrack on CD and a booklet. The original first pressing used special packaging newly illustrated by Gaku Kuze; this packaging is subject to the available copy.
