Uramichi Oniisan Anime

Hello, boys and girls! Do you like big brothers with two sides to their personalities? The television anime Uramichi Oniisan, which began airing on TV Tokyo and other stations in July 2021, arrives in its second Blu-ray volume.

Uramichi Omota is the exercise leader on the educational program Together with Maman. Known as Uramichi Oniisan, he is a kind big brother who showers children with smiles. But sometimes his other face shows through. Life is exhausting, painful, and he does not want to do anything. The darkness of adulthood slips out of his unstable mental state, leaving the children rather unsettled.

Even so, adults keep looking forward. Even without hope in the world, even when society's workings inspire despair, he wants to meet the expectations placed on him as the big brother of an educational program. This backward-looking hymn to life is dedicated to good children who have grown into adults.

The Blu-ray contains episodes 4 through 6, running 71 minutes. Episode five includes audio commentary with Mamoru Miyano, who plays Iketeru Daga, and Nana Mizuki, who plays Utano Tadano. The accompanying CD contains Original Soundtrack 2, and a booklet is enclosed.
