Survive Said The Prophet returns to Vinland Saga with a powerful new single. After an energetic run of releases and live performances from the start of 2022, the band, also known as Sabapro, made a full comeback roughly two years after a member's departure. Paradox is its first single of 2023, released on May 17.

Selected as the opening theme for Vinland Saga Season 2, Paradox explodes with a heavy, loud sound that expresses delicate, complicated human emotions alongside their opposing forces: vague but mounting anxiety and frustration. It is a formidable song that could only have come from a band that has experienced a setback itself.

The song vividly brings out the anime's world. The band's return after Mukanjyo, the much-discussed opening theme from the previous season, also makes this collaboration especially noteworthy. This edition pairs Paradox with an acoustic version of Mukanjyo.
