Ya Boy Kongming! Animation

Zhuge Kongming’s new battlefield is Shibuya! Somehow reincarnated in the modern city, the legendary strategist is captivated by Eiko Tsukimi’s singing and pledges to serve as her tactician. His unrivalled ingenuity and schemes are about to create a new legend on the music scene.

First broadcast in April 2022, P.A.WORKS’ adaptation brings to animation the manga whose influence has expanded into Young Magazine. Ryotaro Okiayu, who has played numerous characters from the Three Kingdoms, voices Kongming. Eiko is portrayed by a double cast: Kaede Hondo provides her voice, while the immensely popular online singer 96Neko performs her songs.

Unpredictable strategies deliver one surprise after another, alongside powerful, heart-stirring music and singing. Overflowing with exhilaration and unstoppable momentum, this funny, emotional and energising anime aims to lift the spirits.

Volume 2 contains episodes 5–8. A special sleeve newly illustrated by character designer Kanami Sekiguchi, a special booklet containing a newly written story by original author Yuto Yotsuba and a special rap track CD are first-press features available only while supplies last; their inclusion is not guaranteed.
