Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Anime

The daughters strike back with newly acquired powers. The mission of the princess half-demons is finally revealed. Towa Higurashi, Sesshomaru's daughter who grew up in the modern era, returns to the Sengoku period and searches for the Dream Butterfly to restore her twin sister Setsuna's lost memories. Zero, the older sister of the Beast King Kirinmaru and seemingly connected to the butterfly, regards the half-demons prophesied to defeat her brother as enemies and plots to eliminate Towa and her companions.

Towa and Setsuna are half-demon girls whose father is the great demon Sesshomaru and whose mother is the human Rin. Their companion Moroha, born to a half-demon and a human, is a quarter-demon and the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. Zero has targeted all three since shortly after the twins were born. They survived because Towa was sent to the modern era, Setsuna found refuge in the half-demon village, and Moroha was protected by the wolf-demon tribe.

Fourteen years earlier, Inuyasha and Kagome became caught up in the battle with Kirinmaru and were sent to the tomb of the Great Dog Demon, the father of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, hidden in the Black Pearl. Kirinmaru now seriously confronts Towa, Setsuna and Moroha, who demonstrate extraordinary powers despite their mixed heritage. During the battle, however, he kills Setsuna.

Sesshomaru appears before the deeply remorseful Towa, hands her Tenseiga and asks whether she wants to try. But the blade of this healing sword, said to save a hundred lives with a single swing, has been broken. What can a broken Tenseiga do? Can it restore Setsuna's lost life? What answer will Towa find as she stands in the rain?
