At last, the first-year arc reaches its conclusion. The hugely popular school survival story Classroom of the Elite begins its third season!

With more than 8.4 million copies in circulation, including e-books, the hit MF Bunko J light novel by the popular creative team of Shogo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose returns as an eagerly awaited third television-anime season, which began broadcasting in January 2024. Its manga adaptation is serialized in Comic Alive. The first anime season, broadcast in 2017, was a major hit; the second followed in 2022. Now the third brings the first-year story to its finale.

In their third term, Ayanokoji and his classmates, promoted from Class D to Class C, head for a school camp. A special examination called the Mixed Training Camp brings all school years together. To earn high scores, they must cooperate with students from other classes whom they previously treated as enemies. Above all, they are shaken by a rule requiring expulsions from groups that fail to meet the threshold. A turbulent third term full of upheaval is about to begin.

The Blu-ray and DVD series was announced in four volumes, each with video extras. Lavish first-production packaging was advertised with an outer case newly illustrated by original character designer Shunsaku Tomose and a digipak newly illustrated by animation character designer Kazuaki Morita. Volume 1 was also advertised with a newly illustrated box to hold all volumes.

Story Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School seems like a dream: it boasts a 100% rate of advancement to higher education and employment, while students receive points equivalent to ¥100,000 every month. In reality, it is an institution governed by merit, where only a select group of high achievers receives favourable treatment.

As the third term begins, Ayanokoji's group, newly promoted from Class D to Class C, travels to a school camp. The special Mixed Training Camp examination includes all school years. As its name suggests, students are separated by gender and form groups that must mix multiple classes; each group is assessed as a unit. They cannot obtain high scores without cooperating with students they previously fought as rivals. Most frightening is the rule that groups falling below the threshold must lose members through expulsion. The curtain rises on a volatile third term.

The first-production version was advertised with Shunsaku Tomose's newly illustrated all-volume storage box and outer case, Kazuaki Morita's newly illustrated digipak, and a special booklet. Kadokawa Store's all-volume purchase gift, an F 3 canvas artwork using a new Shunsaku Tomose illustration, also ended; qualifying orders originally had to be placed by September 30, 2024 at 23:59. The cast-autographed script lottery ended as well, with its original order deadline of May 27, 2024 at 23:59. The advertised signers were Shoya Chiba, Rina Hidaka, Akari Kito, Yurika Kubo, Ayana Taketatsu and Nao Toyama. None of these separate campaign gifts is included.
