The television series Digimon Adventure, broadcast in 1999; Digimon Adventure 02, in 2000; Digimon Tamers, in 2001; and Digimon Frontier, in 2002, are reissued as separate Blu-ray boxes. This edition contains all fifty-four episodes of Digimon Adventure, the starting point of a series that remains immensely popular. Enjoy the adventures of the Chosen Children, including Taichi and Daisuke, depicted around twenty years earlier, once again on Blu-ray. This original-series box contains Adventure; Adventure 02 and the other series are separate products. It is a landmark children's anime in which Mamoru Hosoda, director of Belle, also participated. Digital remastering using the latest technology presents the picture in HD. The original release promotion also announced that Digimon Adventure 02 THE BEGINNING, a new animated feature continuing the second television series, would open on October 27, 2023. Story August 1, 1999. Seven children who should have been enjoying summer camp are suddenly cast onto a mysterious island: Taichi, Sora, Yamato, Koshiro, Mimi, Joe and Takeru. The island is File Island in the otherworldly Digital World. There they encounter seven mysterious Digital Monsters, or Digimon, who say they have been waiting for Taichi and his companions. When the ferocious Kuwagamon attacks the children, their young Digimon protect them, evolve to the Rookie level and drive Kuwagamon away. To return to the real world, Taichi and his friends decide to travel together with the Digimon. Danger waits wherever they go. Digimon attack one after another, and the mysteries of the Digital World deepen. With the fate of both the Digital World and the real world at stake, the Chosen Children and their Digimon begin the adventure of one summer.

Video extras are the same as those on the previously released Blu-ray edition: a creditless opening; two creditless endings; three end cards; television promotional commercials; and the previews used during the original broadcasts of episodes 9, 27 and 50–53.
