Kamen Rider Blade Movies

The 2004 film Kamen Rider Blade MISSING ACE brings together its theatrical release and director's cut in a complete two-disc Blu-ray edition. The director's cut appears on Blu-ray for the first time.

Takayuki Tsubaki, Ryoji Morimoto, Kousei Amano and Takahiro Hojo lead the cast with Yoko Mitsuya, Takao Sugiura, Mirai Ishida, Yumi Egawa, Terunosuke Takezai, Kaori Yamaguchi and Kazuhiro Yamaji. Shotaro Ishinomori's original work is directed by Hidenori Ishida, written by Toshiki Inoue and scored by Kazunori Miyake, with special-effects direction by Hiroshi Butsuda and action direction by Tsuyoshi Miyazaki.

Disc 1 contains the theatrical version and teaser. Disc 2 contains the director's cut, HEROES making-of footage and its director-cut supplement; production-announcement and Suzuka Eight Hours press conferences; interviews from the pre-release special program; completion-preview stage greetings; a release-commemorative talk event; premiere-preview talk show; opening-day greetings; a promotional collection; and television spots. Ishida's audio commentary, originally recorded for DVD, accompanies disc 2. Some video extras remain in standard definition.

The two region-free Blu-rays contain 163minutes of main content in total. Japanese Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround accompanies the theatrical disc, while the director's-cut disc uses Japanese Linear PCM 5.1 surround with a separate PCM stereo commentary. No subtitles are provided. The first-press twelve-page booklet is conditional and not guaranteed.
