Overlord Anime

The transcendent one advances. The fourth television anime series based on the hugely popular light novel, with cumulative series circulation exceeding eleven million copies.

The fourth season of the popular dark fantasy Overlord began television broadcasting in July 2022. Its original web novel had exceeded eleven million copies in cumulative series circulation at the time of the release announcement. Beginning with the first television season in 2015, three seasons had already aired, earning popularity in Japan and overseas through an overwhelming sense of scale and high-quality visuals befitting this formidable dark fantasy. Overlord IV continues the exploits of Ainz after the foundation of the Sorcerer Kingdom of Ainz Ooal Gown.

The original first-press announcement described luxurious bonuses across volumes 1–3: special slipcases, digipaks newly illustrated by character designer Satoshi Tasaki, miniature storyboards and, respectively, a soundtrack CD, a voice-drama CD and the complete World Guide IV design-material collection. For this first volume, the five first-press items were a special slipcase, Tasaki-illustrated digipak, special soundtrack CD, reduced-size episode 1 storyboard and special leaflet. The exact-edition retailer marks these first-press items and the early-preorder A 3 illustration poster as no longer available. They are therefore described as historical offers and excluded from this current regular-edition listing; the soundtrack CD is not claimed as an included second disc. Gifts belonging to other volumes or a complete-series purchase are also excluded.

Regular video bonuses are the chibi anime Ple Ple Pleiades 4, creditless opening, creditless ending and special previews. Episodes 1–5 are included according to the official volume specification. Amazon'sregistration is superseded by the official main figure.

Story: Ainz is troubled. As king of the Sorcerer Kingdom of Ainz Ooal Gown, how should he lead the nation? Thanks to capable NPCs such as Albedo and Demiurge and undead workers who can labour without rest or sleep, the kingdom has become safe and free of hunger. Yet its people still live in fear and anxiety; the city is quiet, as though its fire has gone out, and its former vitality has disappeared. Finding no answer, Ainz visits the Adventurers' Guild alone and makes a proposal to its guildmaster Ainzach. Meanwhile, rulers of neighbouring countries, unsettled by the kingdom's sudden appearance, devise their own countermeasures. Can Ainz defeat their schemes and create the ideal country he envisions?
