The final chapter of the Kazuma Kiryu legend

At its original release, the latest numbered installment of the Yakuza series, which had sold more than eight million copies, arrived exclusively on PlayStation 4.

Become legendary yakuza Kazuma Kiryu and share the lives of passionate men in Tokyo’s Kamurocho and Hiroshima’s Onomichi Jingaicho. A new engine developed specifically for PlayStation 4 transforms dramatic scenes, battles and adventure so radically that its evolution is clear as soon as you play. Experience a new kind of emotion in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

The legendary dragon rises for those he loves

In the winter of 2012, after the end of a major conflict involving yakuza organizations across Japan, Kiryu chooses imprisonment to settle his past. Four years later, in 2016, he leaves prison to discover that Haruka has disappeared.

Seeking her whereabouts, he returns to Kamurocho. He finally finds her after a hit-and-run accident, hovering between life and death. During the accident, Haruka protected her own baby with her body.

Kiryu learns that Haruka was in Hiroshima while missing. To uncover the truth behind her accident and discover the child’s father, he travels to Onomichi Jingaicho.

An outstanding cast

Alongside Kiryu, new characters include Hirose Family patriarch Toru Hirose, played by Beat Takeshi; the family’s captain, played by Hiroyuki Miyasako; its young member Yuta Usami, played by Tatsuya Fujiwara; Snack Kiyomi proprietress Kiyomi Kasahara, played by Yoko Maki; Iwami Shipbuilding president Tsuneo Iwami, played by Nao Omori; and Someya Family patriarch Takumi Someya, played by Shun Oguri.

These performers provide their voices and appear as 3D characters modeled on their own faces, bringing the men’s passionate drama to life. The cast also includes Takaya Kuroda. General director: Toshihiro Nagoshi.

Tokyo and Hiroshima

Kamurocho is tense as three forces—the Tojo Clan, Chinese mafia and Korean mafia—maintain an uneasy balance.

Onomichi Jingaicho is the base of a third force that has maintained its independence from the Japanese underworld’s two great powers: the Tojo Clan in the east and the Omi Alliance in the west. What will happen when Kiryu, a former Tojo Clan chairman, sets foot there? No one yet knows.

A new engine changes the action

Fighting combinations and Heat Actions have been completely renewed. Ultimate Heat Mode adds extreme exhilaration as the game evolves into full-contact fighting action at the highest level.

The new Clan Creator pits Kiryu’s Kiryu Clan against the villainous JUSTIS organization in large-scale team battles. Numerous activity spots return as Yakuza enters new territory as a game.

Activity spots evolve further

A sports gym modeled on RIZAP makes its debut. Manage Kiryu’s training and meals to develop his abilities.

In Clan Creator, Kiryu becomes his clan’s chairman, gathers companions and defeats powerful gangs in mass team battles. New Japan Pro-Wrestling competitors appear as adversaries, heightening these heated clashes.

The series’ popular hostess-club activity returns, featuring five performers selected from more than 1,000 applicants. It has evolved into a strategic conversation game using topic cards.
