The theme this year is if - Public Face and True Feelings. AD-LIVE, produced by Kenichi Suzumura and featuring numerous popular voice actors, is a stage play woven entirely through improvisation. The 2020 performances attracted considerable attention through a remarkable collaboration with puzzle-making experts SCRAP and staging that took advantage of live-streamed performances. In 2021, a total of thirteen performers, including five making their AD-LIVE debut, take on twelve shows over six days under the theme if - Public Face and True Feelings. Look forward to unpredictable drama born on that day, in that place, at that moment.

What would my life have been like if I had chosen differently back then? This world of if, which everyone imagines, is the theme of AD-LIVE 2021. A major difference from previous years is the two-act structure. Both acts unfold in the same setting, but the cast plays a public face in the first act and true feelings in the second. Staging devices and the first act's ending are determined by drawing lots, creating still more unexpected developments.

Two stories branch at a crossroads in life. How will the story change between public appearances and true feelings? The setting is Yumenosuke Honpo, a company that supports your dreams. This mysterious company was founded by Yumenosuke Kano, formerly a Japanese hotel tycoon. Public appearances and true feelings intertwine around dreams, the goals of a lifetime. What dreams will the characters imagine, and how will they distinguish their public faces from their true feelings? What endings await these two stories?

The two main-program discs separately record the daytime and evening performances. A specially produced booklet is enclosed. Audio commentary accompanies the evening performance only.
