Kenichi Suzumura's improvised stage production AD-LIVE 2021 comes to video in this regular edition. Volume 1 records the September 4, 2021 performances starring Subaru Kimura and Tomokazu Sugita. The two-disc set contains the daytime and evening shows on separate discs.

This year's theme is If: Public Face and True Feelings. AD-LIVE is a stage production overseen by general producer Kenichi Suzumura, featuring many popular voice actors and weaving its entire story through improvisation. The 2020 production attracted considerable attention through its remarkable collaboration with puzzle-making specialists SCRAP and staging distinctive to a live-streamed performance. In 2021, thirteen performers, including five making their AD-LIVE debuts, take on twelve performances over six days. Look forward to unpredictable drama born on that day, in that place and at that very moment.

What would my life have been like if I had made a different choice back then? This year's theme explores the world of what-if possibilities that everyone imagines. A major difference from previous years is the two-act structure. Both acts unfold in the same setting, but the performers present their public face in the first act and their true feelings in the second. Stage devices and the first act's resolution are determined by drawing lots, producing even more unforeseen developments.

These are two stories branching from a turning point in life. How does the story change between a public face and true feelings? The setting is Yumenosuke Honpo, a company that supports your dreams. This mysterious business was founded by Yumenosuke Kano, once a Japanese hotel magnate. Public appearances and private feelings intertwine with dreams, the goals people pursue in life. What dreams do these characters have, and how will they distinguish their public face from their true feelings? How will the two stories end? AD-LIVE, which never stops evolving, brings you its world of if. Do not miss these miraculous moments.

The set contains two main-program Blu-rays and a specially produced booklet. Audio commentary accompanies the evening performance.
