Drifting Dragons

Afternoon KC Drifting Dragons Vol. 21 is an official Japanese paper manga volume by Taku Kuwabara, published by Kodansha under the Afternoon KC label.

After surviving a fierce blizzard and attacks by small dragons, the Quin Zaza finally reaches the Antarctic Plateau and finds the wrecked Mekkira Morn. But the crewmembers who should be waiting for rescue inside are nowhere to be found. Suspecting that they have gone to hunt Vritra, the Black Emperor of the Southern Skies, the searchers range farther afield. What they discover are countless misshapen holes, marks left by something dragging itself along, and the bodies of the Morn's crew. The moment they realize the crew died in the line of duty, Vritra suddenly appears and closes in on Jiro, who has failed to escape in time! A single explosive arrow saves him from danger. The one who fired it is his father, the sole survivor. A fight to the death against the legendary dragon begins, with father and son battling together! © Taku Kuwabara 2025
