BORDER BREAK Music Collection TYPE-05 is the fifth soundtrack for the PlayStation 4 version, following the fourth collection with more music that shapes the game's world.

Its 17 main tracks include Soft Landing Experiments and Ranno from the newly created M532 Biodome map, alongside system and scenario music. Four bonus recordings complete the 21-track program: three live-performance arrangements by the BORDER BREAK sound team Metasequoia, plus Catch the Future -Re:UNION-, with vocals and arrangement by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi.

The booklet includes comments from series lead planner Daisuke Yonezawa and sound creator and vocalist Takenobu Mitsuyoshi. Mastering is supervised by series sound designers including Junpei Mishima and Mitsuyoshi, delivering powerful BORDER BREAK sound as part of the SOUND! SHOCK SERIES.
