BORDER BREAK Music Collection Type-06 closes the PS4 soundtrack sequence with its sixth album, marking the series' 14th anniversary. It follows the fifth collection, released in December 2020, after a gap of almost three years.

The 35-track program includes 24 pieces drawn from in-game reward music: premium chiptune arrangements by sound designers Fumio Ito, Junpei Mishima, Yasuyuki Nagata and their colleagues, alongside the original versions for comparison. These include both 8-bit and DCSG arrangements.

Further selections make their CD debut here, including the image themes for Monica and Kanon, three menu-screen pieces, the Gale Gun Front theme and its arrangement, and two unused lunar-map tracks. Catch The Future -Re:UNION- Feat. Mitsuyoroid v0.48 brings together Mitsuyoroid and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, with an off-vocal edition included as a bonus track.

The booklet contains comments from BORDER BREAK series planner Shungo Tanaka and sound designer Fumio Ito, accompanying this final collection of the game's powerful sound.
